K-pop agency Attrakt has announced that K-pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY will make their comeback later this year with new line-up of members.Today (June 14), the agency shared in a statement to Newsen that it had “ decided [in April] on four new members” who will join the group, adding that FIFTY FIFTY will be “starting again as a five-member group including original member Keena”, as translated by Soompi.Attrakt added that due to the need to ensure “album production quality”, FIFTY FIFTY would be returning with a new album this September rather than June as it previously planned. T-ARA singer Areum is reportedly currently under police investigation on charges of the alleged abuse, exploitation and neglect of her two children.South Korean news outlet Korea JoongAng Daily reported on June 4 that the Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi had handed Areum over to the Ansan branch of the Suwon Prosecutors’ Office on charged of the alleged the abuse, exploitation and neglect of her two children.Her mother is also said to be involved and is being simultaneously investigated on exploitation charges, with both women reportedly being barred from making contact with Areum’s sons.The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office had previously dismissed the case in early-May, after police failed to find corroborating evidence against either party.However, the publication reports that experts had concluded that Areum’s claims against her ex-husband were as “not reliable” after analysing testimonies by the two children. ADOR follow a shareholders meeting, amid a prolonged feud with HYBE.Today (May 31), the board of ADOR, which is a subsidiary of entertainment giant HYBE, held its scheduled extraordinary shareholders meeting, during which it was decided that Min Hee-jin would continue on as the CEO of the K-pop agency, per Yonhap News Agency and Korea JoongAng Daily.Notably, the shareholders meeting takes place just a day after a Seoul court ruled in favour of an injunction filed by Min that prevented HYBE from exercising its voting rights to dismiss her. HYBE owns 80 per cent of ADOR, with Min Hee-jin holding a 18 per cent stake.However, according to Yonhap‘s report, two of Min’s “close aides” on the board, only identified by the publication as Shin and Kim, were dismissed and replaced by three C-suite executives officials from HYBE.

No damage has been reported as of yet.Reuters noted that North Korean defectors and activists in South Korea “regularly” send balloons containing anti-Pyongyang leaflets, food, medicine, money and USB sticks loaded with K-pop music videos and dramas across the border.North Korea had warned last Sunday (May 26) that it would send “mounds of wastepaper and filth” over to South Korea in a “tit-for-tat” retaliation (via Consequence).The JCS said this marked the largest number of North Korean balloons sent into the South, following similar instances between 2016 and 2018.In response to the latest action, the military deployed personnel from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response teams, as well as bomb disposal units to collect the objects for a detailed analysis.“These acts by North Korea clearly violate international law and seriously threaten our people’s safety,” the JCS said.

ADOR for the time being, after a court ruled in favour of her injunction to prevent HYBE from exercising its voting rights at an upcoming shareholder meeting.According to reports by Yonhap News Agency and Korea JoongAng Daily, today (May 30) the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of an injunction filed by ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin to prevent HYBE from dismissing her as the head of the K-pop agency.“The reasons for Min Hee-jin’s dismissal or resignation claimed by HYBE have not been sufficiently substantiated,” the court stated, per MyDaily via Soompi. “While Min Hee-jin’s actions may be considered betrayal to HYBE, it is difficult to say that they constitute actions of breach of trust in regards to ADOR.”The new ruling means that HYBE, which owns 80 per cent of ADOR, will not be able to remove Min as the CEO of the K-pop agency at an upcoming shareholder meeting tomorrow (May 31).
