Chosun Biz added in a separate report that the singer is also “in the final stages” of preparations of her album.Neither Chung Ha nor her representatives have yet to respond to the reports as of writing.

88Rising has announced it has joined forces with Honda to offer opportunities for emerging talent.The brand is a global music and media company, dedicated to representing the best of Asian talent in America, and offering breakthrough artists a larger platform to pursue their careers.Now, 88Rising has confirmed that it has developed a partnership with Honda to create more memorable music experiences for fans and continue to support emerging Asian artists.One of the ways that the two look to do this is at this year’s Head in the Clouds Music and Arts Festival, which is organised by 88Rising and set to take place in Pasadena, California between August 5 and 6.Here, those who attend are set to “enjoy exclusive experiences and epic performances” organised and watch performances from artists including Stephanie Poetri, Spence Lee, Lyn Lapid, Phum Viphurit, Eyedress, Grentperez and Akini Jing – all of which will be held at the new Honda Double Happiness stage.The official automotive partner of Head in the Clouds, the ‘88 Type R Honda Customs Shop’ festival activation is “a unique take on the tuner car garage, featuring a 2000 Civic Si project car and the all-new 2023 Honda Civic Type R – the most powerful Honda production vehicle ever sold in the U.S”.Details of the first Honda and 88rising apparel collaboration have also been shared. Named ‘88 Type R’, the collection will be unveiled at the Head In The Clouds festival, and will also be available online at 88nightmarket.The apparel on offer will be entirely unisex, and includes cut-and-sew pieces inspired by the late ’90s to early ’00s of the Asian car culture.Honda began collaborating with 88rising in 2022, with the launch of the all-new HR-V compact SUV.

88rising has announced Head In The Clouds festival’s first-ever expansion into New York this May and its performance line-up.The Asian-focused rap label took to social media on Monday (March 13) to announce the New York festival, confirming that it will take place on May 20 and 21 at the Forest Hills Stadium. Scheduled to headline the festival so far are ITZY, Rich Brian and NIKI.The rest of the line-up includes Beabadoobee, MILLI, DPR Live, DPR Ian, XG and more.

Forbes has officially unveiled the 2022 edition of its annual 30 Under 30 list for Asia, with acts such as aespa and Jung Ho-yeon making the entertainment and sports category.The annual list highlights 300 individuals below the age of 30 that have made significant strides and impact in their respective fields, categorised by entertainment and sports, science and entrepreneurship, among others.Included in this year’s 30 Under 30 list for Asia under the Entertainment And Sports category are K-pop girl group aespa, who are notably the only South Korean music act to be included on the list. Meanwhile, Squid Game actress Jung Ho-yeon was also featured on the list as the only South Korean thespian to be included this year.The 2022 list also included Indonesian 88rising rapper Warren Hue, Thai singer-songwriter Pyra, Singaporean hip-hop artist Yung Raja, Malaysian rap artist SYA, ‘Chicken Tendies’ singer Clinton Kane, New Zealand duo Broods, Sydney duo Seaforth and ‘Josh’ singer Peach PRC.Last year’s edition of the same Forbes list saw Hong Kong’s Jackson Wang of GOT7 fame featured on the list, alongside other South Korean musicians such as MAMAMOO’s Hwasa and IU.The entertainment and sports category of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list was judged by ONE Championship Group President Hua Fung Teh, Infinite Studios CEO Mike Wiluan and Caldecott Music Group’s founder and chief executive Kuok Meng Ru.

BIBI has revealed plans to drop her first-ever full-length album sometime this year.The South Korean singer-songwriter spoke about her plans to release her first studio album in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, which take place following her recent debut performance at Coachella as part of 88rising, alongside other Asian musicians such as Jackson Wang, CL, 2NE1 and more.“I’m making my full-length album, my first full-length album,” BIBI said when asked about what else fans can expect from her this year. Aside from a brand-new record, the musician also shared that “there will be stories, there will be webtoon[s] and there will be a lot of films” to be released in conjunction with the as-yet-untitled album.BIBI then shared her desire to collaborate with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía as well as rapper Kendrick Lamar on her debut album, whom she described herself as a “big fan” of.Elsewhere in the interview, the ‘The Weekend’ singer also opened up about her experience performing at this year’s Coachella in California, United States, as part of 88rising’s ‘Head In The Clouds Forever’ set at the music festival.

aespa made their debut appearance at Coachella last night (April 23) and debuted a brand new song called ‘Life’s Too Short’ during their set.The SM Entertainment girl group are now the third K-pop girl group to perform at the festival, following BLACKPINK in 2019 and 2NE1 at last weekend’s edition of the event.aespa performed as part of 88rising’s main stage takeover alongside the label’s own acts including NIKI, Warren Hue, Rich Brian and more. Their song featured five songs, opening with ‘aenergy’, the first track from their debut mini-album ‘Savage’, which was released last year.“It‘s our first time performing in front of a large audience like this,” they told the crowd, as per The Korea Herald.

BIBI has dropped a music video for new single ‘Best Lover’, which is part of Asian-American label 88rising’s new ‘Head In The Clouds Forever’ EP.In the futuristic new visual, the singer sits in front of a wall of screens, attempting to programme herself a lover. She dons a pair of VR glasses and interacts with the humanoid figure in a virtual world.

21 Savage has released ‘Lazy Susan’, a new single with 88rising artists Rich Brian, Warren Hue, and Higher Brothers’ Masiwei.The song was first teased in the trailer for the upcoming Marvel film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Titled ‘Lazy Susan’, named after the rotating countertop plate found at Chinese restaurants, the track is an upbeat hip-hop cut that sees the four rappers trading verses.Masiwei kicks off the track with a verse in Mandarin, with Rich Brian following it up by counting his blessings over the past year.
