XG have made a comeback with their new mini-album ‘AWE’ and a music video for its lead single ‘Howling’.Set in a dystopian world, the video follows XG as they infiltrate and battle a opposing force of machines with QR codes for faces. As they fight, the girl group spread the growth of grass and plants, slowly revising a world that was bleak and filled with concrete.“Ah-ooh, that’s how we howling / Growling, wildin’ / That’s how we howl / Ah-ooh, that’s how we howling / Growling, wildin’ / So where are you now?,” they sing on the chorus of the new single.In addition to ‘Howl’, the septet also dropped the singles ‘Something Ain’t Right’ and ‘IYKYK’ in July and October, respectively.

XG have dropped a piano version of their viral song ‘Is This Love’.The Japanese septet, who appeared on a January 2025 issue of NME‘s The Cover, released the new version of ‘Is This Love’ on March 7. It dropped as a digital single, alongside a re-release of the original song and instrumental copies of both versions.

XG have dropped a performance video for their single ‘Undefeated’ and announced their sophomore mini-album.Yesterday (July 23), XG dropped the performance video for ‘Undefeated’, a single they released in April in collaboration with video game Valorant. The song was commissioned for the Valorant Champions Tour Pacific, and was recently performed live for the first time at the VCT Pacific Opening Ceremony on July 22.The ‘Undefeated’ performance video showcases the song’s long-awaited choreography.

XG have made their return with a powerful visual for their new single ‘WOKE UP’.On May 21 at 6pm KST, the septet – formed by Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Juria, Cocona, Maya and Harvey – unveiled their latest single ‘WOKE UP’ and its music video. XG have discussed some of their biggest music inspirations, including Beyoncé and Rihanna.In a new interview with Apple Music, the seven-member girl group discussed their sound and upcoming debut EP ‘New DNA’. “Our music is based on R&B and Hip-hop, but we try to add a bit of XG originality,” said vocalist Chisa.“R&B and Hip-hop are genres that have really influenced us, so… American music has really impacted us,” she said, before going on to name some of their favourite artists.

XG are set to release a new single called ‘TGIF’ this week.Today (August 2), XG confirmed on Twitter that they would be releasing ‘TGIF’ this Friday (August 4). The song is available to pre-save now on Spotify and Apple Music, and will be released at 12am in each timezone.

XG has announced the release date of their debut mini-album ‘New DNA’.Today (July 25), XG revealed that their first-ever mini-album, titled ‘New DNA’, will be released digitally on September 27. In the new clip, Hinata, Juria and Chisa each perform a solo cover before teaming up for their rendition of TLC’s 1999 hit ‘No Scrubs’.Hinata opens the clip with her take on Kriz and WOODZ’s 2018 song ‘Bad’, singing in Korean and English.
