Season 10 won’t only look different but may feel different as longtime showrunners Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider exited at the end of Season 9. Allen MacDonald, who previously worked on “ER,” “CSI” and “13 Reasons Why,” among others, will fill the very big shoes — and is bringing a new tone to the show.

Katcy Stephan Rob Marshall is rockin’ the boat! The “Chicago” director is in talks to helm the remake of “Guys and Dolls” for Sony’s TriStar Pictures. Marshall and John DeLuca will write the script with John Requa & Glenn Ficarra. John Goldwyn, Marc Toberoff and Marc Platt will produce alongside Marshall and DeLuca, while TriStar president Nicole Brown and Shary Shirazi will oversee the project for the studio.

CBS‘ upcoming daytime sudser Beyond the Gates (new title) has cast three actors to play prominent members of the fictitious Dupree family.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter CBS has set the first three cast members for the upcoming daytime soap opera “Beyond the Gates.” Tamara Tunie, Daphnee Duplaix, and Karla Mosley are all joining the series, which was originally picked up at the broadcast network in April under the title “The Gates.” As previously reported, the show was developed under CBS Studios’ content partnership with the NAACP. The show will begin production this fall in Atlanta and will premiere on CBS in early 2025. The official description for “Beyond the Gates” states: “‘Beyond the Gates’ is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States.

Bright Eyes have announced the cancellation of their upcoming record release shows due to frontman Conor Oberst losing his voice.The band were set to play multiple shows across the US later this week to celebrate the release of their latest album, ‘Five Dice, All Threes’. However, in a statement shared yesterday (September 18), the band told fans that three shows would have to be cancelled.The affected dates included Brooklyn Steel in New York City, which was due to take place tonight (19), Saturday’s appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago (21), and their show at the Steelhouse in Omaha on Sunday (22).“We’re heartbroken to announce that our upcoming record release shows have been cancelled,” the band said.
