The Sun reported Friday. The news comes on the heels of Oasis selling out its just-announced reunion tour in the UK and Ireland.
The band has been on a 15-year hiatus owing to a bitter feud between bandmates — and brothers — Liam and Noel Gallagher. “It’s going to be a handful of massive dates in major cities,” a source told The Sun. “Brits living in New York and Los Angeles should have a decent chance at getting themselves a ticket.”Though plenty of Americans will also be angling to attend Oasis’ US shows — the band hasn’t toured the States since 2008 — scores of British fans were left disappointed after encountering technical difficulties and so-called “dynamic pricing,” which priced out many hoping to see the Gallaghers on the same stage once more. “Oasis don’t want a repeat of the issues they had with tickets for their home gigs but they are expecting the same huge demand they saw [in the UK],” the source told The Sun.
The band sold out 14 shows in London, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin in just 10 hours, before adding 3 more dates due to “unprecedented demand.” The US tour is expected to include stops in Chicago and Boston in addition to New York and LA.
Oasis teased a possible run of US shows just days after tickets for their UK concerts went on sale. The band shared an Instagram Story showing a Times Square billboard put up by Amazon Music that implored the rockers to come stateside on Sept.
