Good Morning Britain hosts amused as guest fails to wake up ahead of appearance
Ben Shephard was amused as he announced a guest on Good Morning Britain appeared to be too hungover to make it to the studio this morning (September 30).The programme anchor was interviewing a British rapper as part of Black History Month across the ITV network and interviewed paper Youngs Teflon ahead of the first episode of Fresh Cuts.During his appearance on the breakfast programme, Youngs discussed the episode of Fresh Cuts titled Everyone Can Rap which will see him attempt to teach three people how to write and perform rap music.But while Youngs was supposed to appear in the studio, Ben revealed that the rapper had taken his birthday celebrations a bit too far and didn't make the journey to ITV towers.Instead, he appeared on the programme via video link from his London home, leaving Ben and his co-anchor Charlotte Hawkins rather amused.While introducing Youngs, Ben said: "The show's presenter, rapper Youngs Teflon joins us from home because he didn't get in the car because it was his birthday last night, is that right Youngs?""I'm sorry guys, I had too much of a good night," the rapper explained before Ben added: "That's alright, you're allowed," while Charlotte said: "Seeing as it's your birthday."Following Young Teflon's appearance, Ben joked: "Thank you Youngs for managing to wake up."I hope you had a good birthday," before looking at Charlotte and saying: "It sounds like he had a good birthday!"Everyone Can Rap, presented by Daniel Dempster will help people such as choir singer Karen take on the skill of rapping in a bid to promote the music genre.Following Young's appearance on the show, he was flooded with praise from viewers for giving the genre such a huge platform.
