But he was unexpectedly thrust into first-team action by Mourinho - and his first meeting with the former Chelsea and Manchester United chief didn't exactly go to plan.Speaking to Four Four Two, Fabinho said: "I woke up to somebody knocking on the door.
I looked through the peephole and I couldn't believe it. It was [Jorge] Mendes and Jose Mourinho! I was still wearing my pyjamas, not at all prepared to meet him – I didn't even know what to say."Although Fabinho didn't enjoy an extended stay in Madrid, the 28-year-old did eventually find a home in Monaco.
