Life-saving defibrillator donated to centre thanks to Wishaw social club members

Life-saving equipment has been donated to a community centre thanks to kind-hearted members of a Wishaw social club. Cambusnethan Miners Charitable Society and Welfare Social Club hosted a fundraiser earlier this year to raise funds for an external defibrillator to be purchased and installed, after a few members had raised valid reasons for having one within the Club premises.

The fundraising event raised a staggering £2358, and in the days that followed, the committee started exploring different avenues to maximise what could be achieved with the monies raised, and if there was any additional funding available, as the committee were eager to give something back to the wider Cambusnethan community.
