Lewis Hamilton will be fined for impeding a fellow driver during a practice session but will crucially avoid a grid penalty at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday.Hamilton was summoned by the stewards following two incidents which occurred in FP3 on Friday, having allegedly failed to slow down under double yellow flags and then blocked Nikita Mazepin’s Haas.The British driver met with the stewards an hour before qualifying and was cleared of any wrongdoing for not slowing down, but later received a €25,000 punishment for impeding Mazepin’s hot lap at turn eight.Yet the 36-year-old will be feeling enormously relieved to not have to start from further back in a must-win race if he is to stay in the Formula One championship title fight.
