Lewis Hamilton may have been knighted this week, but it wasn't his first brush with the British Royal Family.The seven-time Formula One World Champion was honoured by Prince Charles for his sporting achievements just days after missing out on a record eighth title.Hamilton had been made an MBE in 2009, which led to a sit-down lunch with the Queen.

And he's had several encounters with Prince Harry, including in March 2020 at the opening of the Silverstone Experience.But it was a touching Meghan Markle moment that left the 36-year-old with a "smile of his face the whole time" which would appear to be one of his favourite royal moments.Hamilton was enamoured by the former actress' wedding, which he watched from afar but enjoyed as if he was.
