Lewis Hamilton secured a crucial victory over Max Verstappen in the Formula One championship at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday.The British driver reduced his seven-point deficit to go equal on points with Verstappen after finishing first at the inaugural race in Jeddah, while the Dutchman finished in second place.
Both drivers are currently level on 369.5 points heading into the final race in Abu Dhabi for the first time since 1974 in the wake of a hugely controversial race.But while Hamilton will be delighted with the win, he could finish in front of Verstappen next week and still lose out on the title.That could mathematically happen even if the seven-time world champion finishes ninth (picking up two points) and the Red Bull.
