Strictly Come Dancing’s back tonight, to liven up our long lockdown winter Saturday evenings. (I know, I thought it had started weeks ago, too.) It is a show that represents many of the things that are forbidden these days – peacocking around busy dance floors, perilously close physical contact, extra-marital affairs – but even Strictly will be different in the time of Covid.

There will be fewer contestants, the series is a little shorter than usual and everyone’s in ‘bubbles’. Will it manage to keep the magic?

Is the Pope Catholic? Strictly’s a well-oiled, entirely predictable machine – and that calls for a game of bingo. Here, on your rip-out-and-keep card, is what to expect this year.
