Lanarkshire fireworks organisers seek sponsors to ensure event goes with a bang

Organisers of a popular free community fireworks event have appealed for sponsors to help ensure the bonfire night celebration goes ahead with a bang.

Halfway Fireworks Display in Cambuslang is the biggest annual event in the area, with crowds of around 2500 usually attending every year each year, including spectators from throughout Lanarkshire and Glasgow.

The night has always been free entry, but the coronavirus pandemic forced all events to be scrapped last year, including any fundraising activities.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
