Stood at a bus stop in an act of stupid bravado, a youth has been pointing a gun at passing cars and buses. He is soon facing the barrels of two machine guns himself.
Officers in Armed Response Vehicles have been dispatched to the scene. In a tense exchange the youth is ordered by one policeman to slowly drop his gun as the officers train their weapons on him.
One officer bawls "do not point that gun at me" and tells him to put his hands above his head and lie on the ground. The youth's gun turns out to be an imitation firearm.
The incident has been created in a video by Cheshire Constabulary but the message it carries is urgent and authentic. The youth was only carrying an imitation firearm.
