Walkers raise concerns over time taken to carry out upgrade at popular route

Walkers using the popular Darn Walk between Bridge of Allan and Dunblane are unhappy about its continued partial closure.A section of the walk by the Cock’s Burn Bridge, within the Kippenrait Site of Special Scientific Interest, has been closed to the public since September for an upgrade to take place.Diversions have been put in place via Glen Road while the work is ongoing.It is being carried out by the SP Energy Networks who carry out landscaping around the Beauly to Denny power line.The work had been expected to be completed by mid October, however it has now been extended to December.Walker Inga Bullen who regularly uses the route told the Observer this week: “The work is taking far too long.
