Jurgen Klopp has revealed he was searching for his "missus" in the away end following Liverpool's thrilling 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.The Reds remain a point adrift of Pep Guardiola's side as the two Premier League titans shared the spoils in Sunday's potentially title-deciding showdown.
Klopp's side twice pegged back league leaders City as goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane cancelled out strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus.After the match, the Liverpool manager took a break from media duties to head to the away end in an apparent showing of appreciation for the club's passionate support.
However, Klopp confirmed he was in actual fact looking for his wife as opposed to celebrating the draw with the Reds' travelling faithful.When probed on his interaction with the club's supporters, the German declared: "I was searching for my missus to be honest with you - she was there somewhere.
I wanted to make sure she was still fine!"It was not to celebrate something [with the fans], it was just to show appreciation to say thank you and go there.
