Liverpool and Manchester City was not the most-watched Premier League game this season.According to the latest figures, the Super Sunday clash that ended 2-2 at the Etihad earned a massive 3.19million in-home viewers on average.
But it falls second to Manchester United’s 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool in October, which earned a 3.65m average.Sky Sports report that their total on Sunday was a culmination of 7million people.
The broadcaster’s MD Jonathan Licht said: “Sunday was another bumper day for our viewers, showing the breadth and depth of our coverage.
This weekend saw some huge sporting moments live on Sky Sports, and we are pleased to have delivered another huge day of sports viewing to 7 million people.”Indeed, the highly-anticipated clash between Man City and the Reds didn't disappoint.
