Jurgen Klopp gave a frosty response when asked whether Liverpool's starlets will be given a chance in the Premier League run-in, insisting that appearances aren't "Christmas presents or sweets".
Liverpool were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester City on Thursday night in their first match since securing the Premier League title.
It was a sobering night for the newly-crowned champions but, with a 20-point lead at the top of the table, it had no damaging impact.
And with just six games remaining and the title already wrapped up, there is a chance that young trio Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Neco Williams could be handed first-team opportunities.
