Often credited with popularising the football philosophy known as Gegenpressing, Klopp is regarded by many as one of the best managers in the world.

But Le10 Sport, who reported the phone call, have claimed that Mbappe was flattered by Klopp's interest in signing him. Although Liverpool are looking to add another forward to their ranks this summer, it seems that the 20-year-old is somewhat out of their price range.
