Liverpool may have signed a hidden gem in Sepp van den Berg last summer, with the young defender now being compared to Juventus wonderkid Matthijs De Ligt.
Van den Berg arrived at Anfield last June for just £1.3m after being given a chance to break onto the main stage by none other than Jaap Stam at PEC Zwolle.
Meanwhile, Juventus splurged £67m on Ajax captain De Ligt, who as a teenager had just led his side to the semi-finals of the Champions League and a domestic double.
With around a year and a half in age difference, could there still be time for Van den Berg to reach the De Ligt’s level? Only time will tell.
