Shaun Wright-Phillips has revealed that then-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho told him to “double up” on Cristiano Ronaldo during the 2007 FA Cup final.
Wright-Phillips started the clash against Manchester United on Wembley on the right hand side with Ronaldo playing on United’s left.
And Wright-Phillips was told to help Paulo Ferreira against the Red Devils star, who has gone on to become one of the world’s greatest ever players.
