Manchester United were desperate to sign Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies when Jose Mourinho was in the dugout at Old Trafford.
That is according to the winger's former manager, Nick Huoseh, who coached him at Edmonton Strikers in Canada. Davies is already a household name at the age of 19 after impressing since his move to the Bundesliga, most notably in the Champions League earlier this season.
But Huoseh admits that even before his Bayern switch, United had identified the youngster as a potential future talent.
