Gary Neville has slammed former teammate Carlos Tevez for 'downing tools' towards the end of his spell at Man Utd. The pair shared the same dressing room at Old Trafford during Tevez's two year loan spell between 2007-09.
Tevez had helped United to Premier League and European Cup success the season prior to his departure, but cut a frustrated figure during his second campaign at the club.
He then shocked United by turning down a chance to stay at the club to move to rival neighbours Man City, but Neville feels the forward already knew the end was coming. "What annoyed me about Tevez was he downed tools in his second season," Neville told Sky Sports. "Started sitting on the treatment bench, started coming out late for training.
