Jose Mourinho has identified five transfer targets as he prepares for a summer rebuild at Tottenham. Spurs recovered from a disastrous start to the campaign which saw Mauricio Pochettino sacked in November with the club 14th to finish sixth and enter next season's Europa League.
With the team plagued by injuries throughout the season and with long-serving centre-back Jan Vertonghen departing, Mourinho is hoping to build what he described as a "more balanced" squad.
But with Spurs facing repayments on their £1.2billion stadium and a revenue hit of £200million due to coronavirus, free transfers, loan deals and part-exchanges are more likely than big-money moves.
