JK Rowling's tweets about transgender people have sparked an internal war among staff working on her new book, according to fresh reports.
Staff at Hachette publishing house are said to have 'staged a rebellion' during a heated meeting, with some refusing to work on her new children's book The Ickabog.
According to the Daily Mail, Hachette workers threatened to down tools after the Harry Potter author - real name Joanne - insisted in a series of tweets that biological sex is real and cannot be changed. "Staff in the children's department at Hachette announced they were no longer prepared to work on the book," one insider told the newspaper. "They said they were opposed to her comments and wanted to show support for the trans lobby.
