Everton after saying that he wants Liverpool to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final.Liverpool travel to Paris on May 28 to face the Spanish giants in the final of Europe's premier club competition and the former Everton midfielder is predicting the Reds will lift the trophy for the seventh time in their history.

The Colombian has based his choice on his friendship with international team-mate Luis Diaz, who joined the Anfield club in January.Rodriguez was asked by Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra who he wanted to win the final at the Stade de France."I want Liverpool to be champion," replied the 30-year-old. "I have many friends in Real Madrid and it is a difficult team for this type of match, but I want Lucho (Diaz) to win."Diaz reportedly spoke to Rodriguez ahead of his move to Liverpool and sought advice with regards to the move, prior to rejecting Spurs to join the Reds.
