Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere claims he would have won a Premier League title at the club had it not been for some “devastating” player sales.
The Gunners have not lifting the title for 16 years but came close to replicating the glory years of the early 2000s in Arsene Wenger ’s later years at the club.
But while the Frenchman was able to help the team to top four finishes season on season, they lamented sales to some key players which in the end meant they always fell short.
And Wilshere, who played for the club for 10 years before leaving for West Ham in 2018, highlighted the departure of Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas specifically.
