Many viewers of ITV's crime drama Innocent were left stunned by the series two finale, as a killer was unmasked. The series saw the police reinvestigating the murder of Matty Taylor, 16, which had occurred five years earlier, after the release of original suspect Sally Wright, played by Katherine Kelly.
Sally, Matty's teacher, had been wrongly convicted of the crime and had faced accusations of an inappropriate relationship with him.
But after her release five years on due to new evidence, it took four episodes for detectives to figure out what had really happened.
It was a twist not many saw coming, when Sally's husband Sam Wright, played by Jamie Bamber, was revealed to have murdered Matty.
