ITV has apologised to Quiz stars Michael Sheen and Matthew Macfadyen after the channel's continuity announcers got their names wrong.
In a statement, the TV network said: "ITV has apologised to Michael Sheen and Matthew Macfadyen following the continuity error at the beginning of episode two of Quiz last night." The announcer referred to Michael as Martin Sheen – who happens to be a Hollywood actor and father of Charlie Sheen.
And instead of calling Matthew by his name, they said James and while there is a James Macfadyen of note, he was a doctor and botanist from the 1800s and not an actor.
