Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire scandal kept millions on the edge of their seats Quiz star Matthew Macfadyen and wife, actress Keeley Hawes, got their little bit of exercise amid the Coronavirus lockdown in London on Wednesday.

The couple, who married in 2004, and starred in the original series of Spooks together (over 20 years ago!) were spotted with their caramel pooch in their local neighbourhood.

It comes after a whirlwind week for the Succession star as he took centre stage as Major Charles Ingram in a gripping re-telling of the scandal that rocked the nation after Ingram scooped the £1 million prize on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
