A woman who says she was forced to live without central heating compared her council flat to 'an iceberg'. Mandy Seager, 52, from Blakely, claims she had to struggle without any central heating for more than a week- but has had "constant problems" with her boiler for more than a month.
And she said she had no option but to cacoon herself in multiple blankets as the coldest night of the year gripped the UK on November 29.
She rents her council home, on Broadmoss Drive, from Northwards Housing, who manage properties on behalf of Manchester City Council.
