Prisoners including serial killers Ian Huntley and Peter Sutcliffe have been given goody bags to help them cope with lockdown, it has been reported.

Since the coronavirus lockdown began prisons across the UK have tightly controlled the movement of their residents. In a bid to stop localised outbreaks in the institutions' cramped conditions, prisoners have been kept in cells for 23 hours a day.

In order to stave off boredom caused by the isolation, prison guards have been sliding Sudoku games and crosswords under cell doors.

Huntley, 46, who murdered of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells, Yorkshire Ripper Sutcliffe, 74, and Milly Dowler killer Levi Bellfield, 52, are among those given the care packages.
