He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Phillip Schofield confessed he had a few glasses of gin and tonic to get over his "FOMO" of missing last weekend's Dancing On Ice (February 6) due to testing positive for Covid.

The ITV favourite revealed to fans that he had tested positive for the virus so was forced to miss a week of the show, with Stephen Mulhern stepping in to host with Holly Willoughby.

But he was back on the show this week (February 13), hosting alongside his best pal Holly, who dazzled fans in a princess pink gown.As Holly welcomed Phil back to the show, he admitted he had "FOMO" – the fear of missing out – as he was forced to watch from home.And he laughed as he told Holly he'd had a few gin and tonics to try and ease his sadness, with Holly giggling along too.Holly said: "Welcome to the greatest show on ice, we've got lots on the way for you tonight and welcome back Phil!"Phil said: "Thank you, I missed it last week.
