A mum says she has been quarantined ‘like a prisoner’ in the Cypriot mountains after her Easyjet flight from Manchester was stormed by border control upon landing.
The 57-year-old woman, who wants to remain anonymous, is originally from Wythenshawe and moved to Cyprus around ten years-ago.
She had been visiting her daughter in Manchester, before attempting to fly back to Cyprus on Monday, where she lives with her 71-year-old husband.
After some difficulty, the woman was allowed to board the EZY1973 flight from Manchester Airport to Paphos on Monday. But as her plane was in the air, at around 6pm, the Cypriot Government changed their coronavirus related travel advice.
