As those teeth start to come through, your baby’s gums will be sore and they’re likely to become a little cranky, flushed and dribbly because of the pain.

So how can you relieve the discomfort and what’s the best thing for teething babies? There are a number of remedies you can try, including teething rings; it’s thought that chewing on a rubber ring provides counter-pressure to a growing tooth.

Rubbing the gums with a cooling gel or using teething granules are also great techniques to try, and there’s plenty of effective ones to choose from.

Of course, it varies widely, but babies often begin teething by around six months, with the front bottom and top two teeth usually the first to show.
