How Greater Manchester's infection rates compare to rest of England as the region remains in Tier 3

direct to your inbox Data showing the most recent coronavirus infection rate for each individual local authority area in England has been revealed.

The latest figures, compiled by Public Health England published on Thursday show that once again, a majority of areas in England have seen a rise in the number of new Covid-19 cases.

Of the 315 local areas in England, 261 (83%) have seen a rise in case rates, 50 (16%) have seen a fall and four (1%) are unchanged.

This is compared to 246 seeing a rise, 68 seeing a fall and one unchanged according to Wednesday's data. While in Greater Manchester, all ten boroughs are now reporting infection rates that are lower than the England average.
