Around 3.8 million workers across the UK have been put on furlough leave since the start of the coronavirus crisis. Employers have already made claims worth £4.5 billion to the UK Government's Job Retention Scheme since it opened last week.
Under the scheme, employers can claim a grant covering 80 per cent of the wages for a furloughed employee - up to £2,500 a month - because they cannot cover the cost of their wages.
And as lockdown continues and the summer holiday season approaches, many employees have been wondering how furlough affects their annual leave.
