Horror blaze destroys entire bedroom 'after wrong battery used in vape'

fire tore through a bedroom after an "incompatible battery" was used in a vape.Firefighters have shared a firm warning with residents after the blaze caused "substantial damage" yesterday morning (January 23).The fire also broke into the rest of the house as well as destroying the bedroom, Birmingham Live reports.The West Midlands Fire Service crew have shared an image of the badly burnt bedroom along with the vape which caused the fire.Firefighters extinguished the blaze and shared a warning to residents to be extra careful when charging and handling electrical goods.Tettenhall Fire tweeted saying: "Purple Watch attended a bedroom fire in Codsall this morning which was caused by using an incompatible battery for a vape."Fire was extinguished but caused substantial damage to the rest of the house.

In other news, an urgent warning has been issued after a fire ripped through a house, caused by sunlight reflecting from a mirror.Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service issued the stark warning along with a photograph which reveals the damage caused when reflected sunlight ignited combustible materials nearby.The department recently tackled two serious blazes less than a week apart from each other, which were caused by incoming sunlight.
