Residents in five rural North Lanarkshire communities are being asked to share their stories of the areas to help develop heritage plans and decide on grant funding.
A consultation project is getting underway to gather project ideas and views on preserving the local history of the Airdrie villages of Greengairs & Wattston, Caldercruix, Plains and Upperton, plus the communities of Harthill, Eastfield & Greenrigg.
It will include drop-in events in each community next week, and the consultation results will help with the distribution of grants of up to £500 for local projects.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
