Lanarkshire communities are encouraged to apply for grants from the National Lottery for events to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.Applications are now open for grants of between £300 and £10,000 for "small scale, community-driven" gatherings over the public holiday weekend of May 6-8.
Lord Lieutenant for Lanarkshire, Susan Lady Haughey CBE, told Lanarkshire Live : “The Coronation on May 6 will be an historic and memorable occasion, with a weekend of events planned across the UK.
