Heartbreak as boy, 13, killed crossing road with his family on Easter Sunday

A 13-year-old boy was tragically knocked down and killed while out walking with his family on Easter Sunday. The schoolboy was crossing the incident when the incident happened.

He was hit by a black Volkswagen Polo at Chester Road in Erdington, Birmingham, just before 6.50pm on Sunday, April 12. The teenager was rushed to hospital but medics were unable to save him., reports BirminghamLive.

West Midlands Police said he was crossing the road with his family when the tragedy happened. The Polo driver was detained at the scene and was in custody.
