The head of a Manchester Bee sculpture has been sawn off in a sickening vandal attack. The cruel act at Crowcroft Park in south Manchester has sparked widespread outrage.
The damage was spotted by a walker on Easter Sunday. Crowcroft Park is near Longsight's border with Levenshulme and the bee was named 'Bee Unique'.
A black bin bag has now been used to cover the damage and seal the scuplture. The painted sculptures, which adorned parts of the city centre on a fun-filled trail throughout 2018, were eventually sold off at a huge auction to raise money for the Lord Mayor of Manchester's We Love MCR charity.
