Bright Eyes have released the second song from their forthcoming ninth studio album. “Forced Convalescence” features a suspiciously funk-leaning bassline, which, according to a press release, comes courtesy of Flea.

Listen to the single above. Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott announced the return of Bright Eyes two months ago alongside a new song, "Persona Non Grata." The album, the first under the Bright Eyes moniker since 2011's The People's Key and the group's debut for Dead Oceans, doesn't have a name or an official release date yet.
