Sgt Martin Dunn is said to have mistreated the puppy on the evening of March 14 at around 10.30pm, Yorkshire Live reports. In a statement today, a spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said: "West Yorkshire Police have charged a man with an animal cruelty offence. "Police Sergeant Martin Dunn of the Specialist Operations team at Greater Manchester Police has been charged with one offence under Section 4 of the Animal Cruelty Act.
