Google has launched a new smart speaker to rival the Amazon Echo. The smart speaker is called Nest Audio, and was unveiled at Google ’s Launch Night In event this evening.
The speaker is is oblong in shape, with curved edges and a flat base which allows you to stand the speaker upright. Touch controls can be found in the top half of the speaker, with volume adjusted by tapping the edges, and play/pause buttons in the very top.
The back of the speaker features a Mic Switch, allowing you to turn the mic off with the slide of a button. Google explained: "Microphones are built into Nest Audio, so you can use your voice to ask the Google Assistant for help, make calls and more.
