As Goodnight Sweetheart's dim-witted Reg, Christopher Ettridge was one of the sitcom's biggest stars. And while he looks very different to the character that made him a comedy favourite, he is still a performer at the age of 74.
Christopher did six years on the classic Nicholas Lyndhurst sitcom as police officer Reg between 1993 and 1999 - plus 2016's brief revival.
He dominated the 1940s section of the show when bed-hopping time-traveller Gary Sparrow went back to the Blitz in London. But he also had a recurring role in EastEnders as baddie Graeme, one of Steve Owen's accomplices and appeared in Mr Selfridge as Mr King.
He also had roles in The Bill, Harry Enfield and Chums, Julius Caesar and Hitler: The Rise of Evil and played the postman in 2000 film Kevin and Perry Go Large.
