PC Simon Rose denies having a "personal and sexual relationship" with a woman who had made a complaint of an assault to police.
The officer is also accused of trying to persuade colleagues at GMP not to carry out a search of a home. Rose is charged with misconduct in a public office and perverting the course of justice, Liverpool Echo reports.
