GMB viewers threaten to 'switch to BBC Breakfast' over 'creepy' segment

Good Morning Britain fans were not happy with the ITV show as dozens of spiders appeared on-screen. Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard welcomed a spider enthusiast and an Arachnophobe into the studio as they discussed the fact that spiders are likely to be making their way into people's homes from this month. The spider enthusiast encouraged people to not kill spiders which enter the home, adding that they're unlikely to hurt humans - but not everybody is convinced.

While TV personality Ryan-Mark Parsons appeared on the show to share his distaste of spiders, he wasn't alone, with fans of the show threatening to turn off their TV.

One user wrote: "Ok thanks @GMB my arachnophobia has gone through the roof. Switch off today." Another wrote: "With spiders all over GMB I'm close to watching BBC Breakfast." As others talked about the creepy crawlies, one person wrote: "I could just about cope with spiders if they didn't move or run..." Another viewer added: "I really didn't want to see spiders on my screen this morning." The spider expert gave his thoughts on reactions to spiders as he reassured viewers and said: "They've been here for the last hundred years in the UK, but they like to keep themselves out of the way. "They don't actually like the feel of human skin, they don't want to crawl on your skin.
