Good Morning Britain presenter Sean Fletcher was "working on a project" with Jamal Edwards before his tragic death. The SBTV founder tragically passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 31 from a sudden illness.Speaking on the ITV show on Tuesday, Sean confirmed he had been in talks with Jamal about working on a project to help protect their shared local community of Acton in West London.
Richard Madeley asked Sean: "You were working with him on a project, weren't you?"Sean replied: "We were talking about protecting our community. "I was reminded of a tweet he put out in 2012 that it's important to create something beyond your life and how chillingly relevant that is now."Sean also said he had attended a vigil for the late music icon on Monday evening. He added: "I went to the vigil."There were hundreds of people.
It was outside a mural of him, his face, which he sadly unveiled two months ago and now that has become a memorial so people gathered there."Confirming the vigil had 'stopped traffic at times' due to its size, Sean added: "It shows how much of an impact [Jamal] had on the UK music scene but also on our local community."Sean's tribute to Jamal follows a friend of the late star claiming he died of a heart attack after performing his final DJ set. This is a live TV story and is constantly being updated. Please refresh the page regularly to get the latest TV updates.TV & Showbiz reporters are working to source the latest information, reaction, pictures and video related to this story.Good Morning Britain airs from 6am on weekdays on ITV..
