Girl, 17, dies after Christmas Eve car crash with 18-year-old driver arrested

mirror.co.ukA 17-year-old girl involved in a Christmas Eve car crash has died. The teenager was a passenger in a black VW Golf which collided with a BMW at the junction of Sandy Lane and Lower Street on Codsall Road in Aldersley just before 2.30am.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she passed away the same day. The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
